Q. What are the main features of the Gen-2 flarestack?
1. Portable trailer-mounted flarestack that can be
pulled by your average pickup truck using the 2-5/16" bumper ball hitch.
Dual axles and electric brakes ensure great road manners and predictable
handling.
2. Zero ground distrurbance means it doesn't require stakes, spikes or screws
to
be set
into the ground. The trailer comes with outriggers that quickly unfold
to make an incredibly stable platform that securely supports the flarestack even in windy conditions.
3. Built-in hydraulics allow one man to erect, rig and ignite
the Gen-2 flarestack in 25-30 minutes (see video).
4. Onboard pipe racks and junk baskets make this a completely self
contained unit. The trailer can carry up to 6,000 pounds (2,721 kg) of additional weight.
5. Electric ignition makes it easy to light. Can be ignited in spot or "continuous-on"
mode. In continuous mode the flare will stay lit even in strong or gusty wind conditions.
6. Rugged, heavy-duty construction means this unit can handle the worst
roads, weather and roughnecks.

Q. How much wind can the portable flare stack handle?
A. The 4" x 43' portable flarestack is engineered to withstand windspeeds up to
70 MPH. This is the maximum safe windspeed for operation. However, we strongly recommend the flare
stack be not be operated in winds above 60 MPH. When winds exceed 75 MPH the
flare stack should be lowered and secured.
Q. Do you manufacture, rent and sell these units?
A. Yes, we do it all. We can build custom units as well in other
diameters and configurations.
Call 800-530-4197 for pricing and availability. |
Q. How long does it take to erect a portable flare stack?
A. With a little practice, a typical Gen-2 portable flarestack can be erected, rigged
and lit in 20-30 minutes.
Q. How strong is the flare boom?
A: Very strong. To view a 1 minute demo, click here.
Q. How is the flare ignited?
A. The flarestack uses an on-board 12v battery and provides both spot and
always-on electric ignition. In continurous mode, the on-board battery can
support the spark for approx. 3 months without charging. |
